Located in the departure lounge is a wooden kiosk, managed by the Institute of Applied Science and Technology (IAST), Guyana’s premier research and development Organization. The kiosk carries high-quality local products, ranging from food to skincare including IAST’s flagship products Rupununi Essence, Luxury Facial Washes, Pakaraima Flavors Sundried Tomato Ketchup and Salad Dressings, and Morning Glory Breakfast Cereals.

The Kiosk is designed to look like a stylized donkey cart of yesteryear and is made with over 10 types of local woods. The area that would normally accommodate the harnessing of a donkey is a “Selfie-Seat” with a backdrop of the Institute’s products and Guyana’s very own Kaieteur Falls.
